Russian-speaking psychologist in Greece and Europe — online counselling in Russian
Regain your inner balance and the joy of living
I'm Sofia Kirsanidou, a psychologist-consultant and emotologist based in Thessaloniki. I help Russian-speaking people living in Greece, Cyprus, Germany and elsewhere in Europe cope with anxiety, life crises, relationship difficulties and the challenges of building a life abroad.
Psychology without templates: an individual path to change
I work with an integrative (multimodal) approach: rather than limiting myself to a single method, I choose the tools that fit your specific situation. Every session combines proven techniques adapted to you.
“I believe every person already has the resources to change. My job is to help you discover them and learn to use them.”
I live in Thessaloniki and work online, in Russian, with people living in Greece, across Europe and around the world. Wherever you are, you can get psychological support in your native language.
Please note: sessions are conducted in Russian.
Emotional-imagery therapy
Fast, deep work with the subconscious through imagery. It helps uncover and transform hidden emotional patterns that affect how you feel and behave, and is especially helpful for psychosomatic issues.
Cognitive behavioural therapy
An evidence-based approach to thoughts and behaviour. It helps you recognise unhelpful thinking patterns, replace them with constructive ones and build new strategies for reaching your goals.
Gestalt therapy
Deep contact with your feelings and closure of “unfinished business”. It builds awareness of the here and now and helps integrate suppressed emotions that drain your energy.
Neuro-linguistic programming
Access to inner resources and practical strategies for change: working with beliefs, ineffective behaviour patterns and resourceful states.
A psychologist who speaks Russian, in Greece and across Europe
Living in another country brings opportunities — and takes a lot of energy. When your usual circle is far away, it matters to have someone to talk to in your own language.
In your native language
Feelings are easier to put into words in Russian. No translating yourself, no searching for the right word — just being understood.
Life abroad
Relocation, adaptation, loneliness, homesickness, constant uncertainty, tension in a relationship after a move — these are all things we can work on.
From any country
Sessions are held online by video call. I'm in Thessaloniki (UTC+2, UTC+3 in summer) — convenient for all of Europe, and we can find a time for other zones too.
I work online with Russian-speaking clients wherever they live:

Frequently asked questions
Can I book a session if I don't live in Greece?
Yes. All sessions are held online by video call, so you can join from Greece, Cyprus, Germany, Spain, Italy or any other country. You only need a stable internet connection and a quiet place to talk.
What language are the sessions in?
Sessions are held in Russian. Talking about feelings in your native language is easier: you don't have to translate yourself, and you are understood precisely.
What time zone do you work in?
I am based in Thessaloniki, Greece (UTC+2, UTC+3 in summer), which is convenient for clients anywhere in Europe. For other time zones we will find a suitable slot.
What are your qualifications?
I hold a psychologist-consultant diploma from the International Institute of Practical Psychology (IIPP): a two-year professional retraining programme of 1,368 academic hours covering 30 disciplines, with mandatory supervised practice. Scans are shown in the Qualifications section.
How do I book and what does it cost?
Message me on WhatsApp (+30 694 262 56 85) or Telegram (@kirsanova_psy) with a short description of what you would like to work on. I will tell you about fees and format and offer available times.
Is a psychologist the same as a psychiatrist?
No. A psychologist-consultant works with emotions, thoughts, relationships and life situations, but does not diagnose medical conditions or prescribe medication. If it becomes clear that you need a doctor, I will tell you honestly.
If you or someone close to you is in danger, call the European emergency number 112.
Take the first step towards change
The first session is a chance to get to know each other, carefully explore your request and draw up an individual plan. I'll create a safe space for your journey.
